Join the Libertarian Party at the

California State Fair!

Hello, liberty enthusiasts!The Libertarian Parties of Sacramento and Santa Clara are thrilled to return for our sixth year at the California State Fair, running July 11–27. We’re setting up shop in air-conditioned Building D (Booth #D500), and we need volunteers to help us spread the message of liberty to over 600,000 fairgoers!

Why Volunteer?

• Massive Reach: The fair draws a diverse crowd from every corner of California—perfect for sharing our values of freedom and responsibility.
• Cool Comfort: Our booth is a refreshing escape from the summer heat.
• Fun Tools: You’ll get handouts, a button-making machine, the new Operation Politically Homeless Quiz, and plenty of literature to engage visitors.

How to Sign Up

We’re looking for volunteers to take on a shift. Here’s how:

1. Check the Schedule: Sign-up and select the time slot closest to your availability
    Fair hours are M–Th 4 PM–10 PM and Fr–Su 10 AM–10 PM.
2. Contact Us: Email James Just at jjust @lpsac.org or can reach Mark Hinkle at mark @garlic.com 
3. Get Ready: We’ll email you volunteer information and your entrance ticket can be picked up at the Will Call kiosk.

Admission & Parking

• Free Entry: Volunteers get complimentary fair admission.
• Parking Help: Check directions and parking info. Need a vendor-rate pass or cost assistance? Let Mark or James know when you sign up.

Important Volunteer Policy

CalExpo requires all exhibitors to submit personal details for a Megan’s Law database check. You’ll need to provide your driver’s license number, issuing state, full legal name, date of birth, and ZIP code. A coordinator will reach out to collect this securely—thanks for helping us keep the event safe!
